How do I subscribe to Appetizer Premium?

To subscribe:

  1. Open the Appetizer app
  2. Tap on your profile icon
  3. Select "Upgrade to Premium"
  4. Choose monthly or yearly plan
  5. Complete purchase through Apple

You'll get a 3-day free trial to try all premium features!

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select Appetizer
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

You'll continue to have access until the end of your billing period.

What's included in Premium?

Appetizer Premium includes:

  • ✅ Unlimited ingredient scanning
  • ✅ Unlimited meal plans

How does the ingredient scanner work?

The ingredient scanner uses AI to identify ingredients:

  1. Tap the Scan button on the home screen
  2. Point your camera at ingredients
  3. Tap to capture the image
  4. Our AI will identify ingredients and suggest recipes

Tip: Make sure ingredients are well-lit and clearly visible for best results.

Can I use Appetizer offline?

Yes! You can access:

  • ✅ Previously saved recipes
  • ✅ Your cookbook
  • ✅ Downloaded meal plans
  • ✅ Recipe history

Note: AI features and new recipe generation require an internet connection.

How do I set dietary preferences?

To customize your dietary preferences:

  1. Tap your Profile icon
  2. Select Dietary Preferences
  3. Choose your diet type (vegetarian, vegan, keto, etc.)
  4. Add allergies or restrictions
  5. Save your preferences

All recipe recommendations will respect your preferences!

How do I save recipes?

To save a recipe:

  1. Open any recipe
  2. Tap the bookmark icon (📖) at the top
  3. Recipe is saved to your Cookbook

Access saved recipes anytime from the Cookbook tab.

How do meal plans work?

Meal planning is easy:

  1. Go to the Meal Plan tab
  2. Tap Create New Plan
  3. Choose your preferences (days, meals per day, cuisine)
  4. Let AI generate your personalized plan
  5. View recipes and auto-generated shopping list

Is my data private and secure?

Absolutely! We take privacy seriously:

  • 🔒 All data is encrypted
  • 🔒 We never sell your data
  • 🔒 No advertising or tracking
  • 🔒 Apple Sign In for enhanced privacy

Can I export my recipes?

Yes! To export your data:

  1. Email us at thabanichaka@gmail.com
  2. Request a data export
  3. We'll send you all your recipes and meal plans

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all data:

  1. Go to ProfileSettings
  2. Scroll to Delete Account
  3. Confirm deletion

Warning: This action cannot be undone. All your recipes and data will be permanently deleted.

Troubleshooting

App crashes or freezes

Try these steps:

  1. Force close the app and reopen it
  2. Restart your device
  3. Check for app updates in the App Store
  4. Ensure you have the latest iOS version
  5. If problem persists, contact support

Subscription not working

If your subscription isn't active:

  1. Check your subscription status in iPhone Settings
  2. Ensure payment method is valid
  3. Try logging out and back in
  4. Restore purchases: Profile → Restore Purchases
  5. Contact us with your purchase receipt

Recipes not loading

If recipes won't load:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Try switching between WiFi and cellular data
  3. Close and reopen the app
  4. Clear app cache: Profile → Settings → Clear Cache

Ingredient scanner not working

For scanner issues:

  1. Grant camera permission: Settings → Appetizer → Camera
  2. Ensure good lighting
  3. Clean your camera lens
  4. Try scanning one ingredient at a time
  5. Update to the latest app version

Refund Policy

All purchases are processed through Apple. To request a refund:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find your Appetizer purchase
  4. Select "Request a refund"
  5. Choose a reason and submit

Apple will review and process your request. Refund decisions are made by Apple, not Appetizer.
